Minh Tran

Global Head of Automation, Digital, and PAT Solutions, Merck KGaA

Mr. Minh Tran is a seasoned biopharmaceutical leader with over 28 years of technical and commercial experience spanning process development, technology transfer, manufacturing operations, and executive management. He currently leads the Global Process Automation, PAT, and Data Analytics commercial business at Merck KGaA, driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic growth in the industry.

Before joining Merck in Singapore, Mr. Tran served as Chief Operating Officer at Stelis Biopharma, where he oversaw all aspects of commercial manufacturing operations and CDMO activities. He previously held key leadership roles, including Head of Large Investment Projects for APAC at EMD Millipore, and contributed to major biopharma organizations such as Amgen, ICOS Corporation, Novo Nordisk, and Immunex Corporation in the U.S.

Mr. Tran holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Washington, Seattle. His expertise and leadership continue to shape the future of biopharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing excellence.
